Hybrid Fleet Campaign Event 2024

ATLANTIC OCEAN (September 20, 2024) - A FLARES unmanned vertical take-off and landing system launches with an Integrator fixed wing UAS attached during the 2024 Hybrid Fleet Campaign Event aboard Spearhead-class expeditionary fast transport ship USNS Burlington (T-EPF 10) in the Atlantic Ocean. The Hybrid Fleet Campaign Event utilizes U.S. 4th Fleet as the operational arm for Department of the Navy Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Experimentation Cell (DoN SEC) and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic to field test unmanned, hybrid, and robotic systems in support of Chief of Naval Operations objectives. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet is the maritime component of U.S. Southern Command and the trusted maritime partner for Caribbean, Central and South America maritime forces leading to improved unity, security and stability.
